Zirconia or veneers? The difference made simple

Many people ask about a “Hollywood smile” without knowing whether zirconia or veneers suit them better. Here is the difference, simply.

Zirconia

A full crown covering the tooth on all sides. Very strong and suitable for weak or broken teeth or after root canal treatment, for both back and front teeth.

Veneers

A thin layer bonded to the front surface only, with less reduction. Suitable for healthy teeth when we want to change the shade or shape or close small gaps.

The Hollywood smile

Not a material in itself — it is the design of the whole smile using zirconia, veneers or a combination, depending on each tooth.
